INTERIOR and the collectors is an artist run-space. Based in an old house in the historic center of Arles, it is not a conventional exhibition space, but several rooms that can be rented for one or more nights. The public is invited into an inhabited space to show art in the intimacy of an apartment which is not designed for it but for everyday life. Each exhibition is almost curated like a collector's approach as the choice of artists allows to cross genres and mix emerging and established artists. The private space gives a total freedom, a local and dense exchange that builds on the foundations of a multicultural and meaningful art.
INTERIOR and the collectors est un espace d’exposition dirigé par deux artistes. Installé dans une ancienne maison du centre historique d’Arles, ce n’est pas un lieu d’exposition conventionnel mais plusieurs pièces qui peuvent être louées pour une ou plusieurs nuits. Le public est invité dans un espace habité pour montrer l’art dans le cadre intime d’un appartement qui n’est pas dédié à la monstration mais à la vie quotidienne. L’élaboration de chaque exposition est proche d’une démarche de collectionneur, le choix des artistes répond à une logique plus personnelle permettant de croiser les genres et mélanger des artistes émergeants avec des artistes confirmés. L’espace privé permet une liberté totale, un échange local et dense formant les bases d’un art multiculturel et sensé.
